HomeGuide's range is $450 to $1,000, and NADCA says properly cleaning a whole system in an average-sized home typically costs the same.

$99 air duct cleaning
A $99 whole-house price sits far below every published figure: the EPA's $450 to $1,000 per system, NADCA's $450 to $1,000 for a proper whole-system cleaning of an average home, and even Fixr's low end of $150 for a small, easy house. HomeGuide warns that "cheap" duct cleaning deals or gimmicks may be signs of a scam and end up costing more, and Fixr says to avoid deals that seem too good to be true. The EPA's checklist is the best defense: get at least three written estimates, ask each company to show you the contamination that justifies the job, and do not hire anyone who makes sweeping health claims.
